If you are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless (eviction within 14 days):

 

  • Call Centralized Intake at 540-271-1701.  Leave a message.  Your call should be returned within 24 to 48 hours.  They will refer you to an appropriate agency (including Family Promise of Shenandoah County) which can provide assistance. 

  • Call Family Promise of Shenandoah County directly at 540-459-4599.  

  • We are not equipped to assist families who are fleeing DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.  If you are in immediate danger call 911.  Otherwise, call the Response hotline at 540-459-5161.  Someone is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to listen and offer information and referrals.

Who is eligible for the Family Promise Program?

  • Families with children under the age of 18 in a homeless situation.

  • Families who are free from alcohol and illegal drug abuse.

  • Families who are free from mental health crisis.

  • Families who pose no threat to other guests and volunteers.

  • Families who are willing to abide by the Guest Guidelines.
